God’s Call to Revival
Bro. Zeke Rivera

In this message, Bro. Zeke Rivera focuses on Isaiah 57:15, emphasizing the holiness of God and His desire to revive the hearts of the humble and contrite. The sermon begins with the acknowledgment of God’s elevated position and the significance of His name, “Holy.” Bro. Zeke explains that the term “holy” means separate, sanctified, and set apart for a unique purpose. God’s dwelling place is high and holy, and He also resides with those who are humble and contrite in spirit.

Bro. Zeke highlights three key aspects: God’s location, the conditions for dwelling with Him, and His intention for revival. God’s location is described as elevated and beyond human reach, but He allows those with a humble and broken spirit to dwell with Him. Bro. Zeke poses the question of how close the listener is to God and underscores that closeness with God requires humility and a recognition of one’s unworthiness.

The message further delves into God’s intention for His people, which is to bring about revival. Revival implies bringing something dead back to life, and Bro. Zeke challenges the audience to identify areas in their lives that are spiritually dead and in need of revival. The process of revival begins with acknowledging God’s standard of holiness and approaching Him with humility and a contrite heart.

The sermon concludes with a reflection on Ezekiel 37, where God shows the prophet a valley of dry bones and asks if the bones can live. This serves as a reminder that God can bring life to what seems dead and hopeless. Bro. Zeke encourages the audience to consider the “dead bones” in their lives and recognize that God’s purpose is to revive those areas, urging them to seek revival through humility and a deeper relationship with God.

Your Identity in Christ
Bro. Damon Covalt

The core of the message delivered by Bro. Damon Covalt revolves around the exploration of three biblical figures: David, Enoch, and John, each of whom is highlighted in different scripture passages. David is described as a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22), Enoch as a man who walked with God (Genesis 5:24), and John as the disciple whom Jesus loved (John 21:7). These descriptions are used to prompt the audience to reflect on their own lives and how God might describe them if they were mentioned in the Bible.

Bro. Damon shares a personal reflection from childhood, where he often prayed to be like these great men, desiring to be someone whom God would describe with such honor. The central question posed to the audience is: “If God were to write about you in the Bible, how would He describe you?” This question is meant to provoke deep self-examination, challenging listeners to consider whether their lives are lived in a way that God would find worthy of such a title.

The message then transitions into a discussion about the choices Christians make in their daily lives. It stresses the importance of knowing one’s identity in Christ and living in a way that reflects that identity beyond just attending church services or reading the Bible. Bro. Damon encourages listeners to live intentionally for God, making daily and even hourly choices to follow the Spirit rather than succumbing to the desires of the flesh.

Bro. Damon highlights the routine of daily life, where many people, even those who have recently found their faith, can easily get caught up in mundane activities and forget the purpose that God has given them. The importance of living with purpose, as ordained by the Creator, is emphasized, urging believers to remember that their life is meant to fulfill God’s plan, not just to go through the motions.

The message concludes with a powerful call to action: it’s never too late to change the course of your life. If God were to describe your life right now, what would He say? Bro. Damon encourages the audience to strive for more than just being someone who attends church or reads the Bible but to be someone whose entire being is shaped by their faith. Today can be the start of living more actively for God, listening to His guidance, and ensuring that your life truly reflects the commitment you have made as a Christian.

Guarding Your Heart
Ptr. Devon Ortiz

In this message, Ptr. Devon Ortiz explores the spiritual life of King Solomon, focusing on how his early devotion to God gradually became compromised by small, seemingly insignificant choices that eventually led to his downfall. The sermon begins with a reference to 1 Kings 3, where Solomon, the newly crowned king of Israel, demonstrates his love for the Lord by following the statutes of his father, David. Solomon’s wisdom, leadership, and accomplishments are highlighted, particularly his construction of the Temple in Jerusalem, the first permanent place of worship for the Israelites. This achievement underscores Solomon’s initial commitment to God.

However, Ptr. Devon warns that despite Solomon’s love for God, subtle compromises began to infiltrate his life. The first warning sign was Solomon’s decision to offer sacrifices at “high places,” locations associated with idol worship, which Ptr. Devon describes as politically motivated to appease the masses. This act, though seemingly minor, marked the beginning of Solomon’s spiritual decline.

Ptr. Devon then discusses Solomon’s “affinity” for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, which led to Solomon marrying Pharaoh’s daughter. This marriage, intended as a political alliance, further exposed Solomon to influences that were contrary to God’s commandments. Over time, these small compromises accumulated, leading Solomon to eventually marry many foreign women who worshiped other gods. This act directly violated God’s command not to intermarry with people who would lead the Israelites away from worshiping Him.

By the time Solomon reached old age, these influences had turned his heart away from God, as described in 1 Kings 11. Solomon’s heart, once devoted to the Lord, became divided and imperfect, leading him to follow other gods. Ptr. Devon uses Solomon’s story as a cautionary tale for believers, emphasizing the importance of guarding one’s heart against seemingly small influences that can grow into significant spiritual threats.

The message concludes with a practical application, urging listeners to examine their own lives for similar compromises. Ptr. Devon warns against allowing music, entertainment, relationships, and even social media to subtly influence and steer one’s heart away from God. He stresses that these influences, while they may seem minor or harmless, can gradually lead to a spiritual decline if not addressed.
